Company History

It all started in June of 1994:  Lansing Glass Company was founded in a small facility on Kalamazoo Street by Curt Robb & Keith Doty. They started completing jobs with the tools they had acquired from their combined 40 years of glazing experience, put a glass rack on Curt's pick-up truck and went to work.

1996:  In an effort to continue to expand the companys abilities, Lansing Glass hired Cheri Rennaker as office manager and Ron VanHorn as estimator / project manager and purchased the companies first brand new rack truck

1999:  Lansing Glass was fortunate enough to upgrade to our former facility located at 2820 Alpha Access Lansing, Michigan.  The former facility enabled Lansing Glass to take on some larger projects such as Jackson National Life's world headquarters, the Spartan Stadium Expansion and University of Michigan Stadium Expansion "Street Side", to name a few of the jobs completed while located at that facility.

2000:  As business continued to expand current estimator / project manager Ron VanHorn became Vice President to join Curt Robb as Vice President and Keith Doty as President.

2008:  Lansing Glass hired two new employees Bill Griffes and Chris Greenfield.

  • Bill Griffes hires in as an estimator / project manager and is 2007 Michigan State Univeristy graduate from the construcion management program.
  • Chris Greenfield was hired to provide engineering / shop drawing developement / field survey, and is a 1996 Ferris State University graduate from the buiding construction and architecture programs.

2009:  Business once again began to expand, Lansing Glass out grew the Alpha Access location, creating the need to move into our current facility on 330 Baker Street Lansing, Michigan

December 2012:  Lansing Glass purchased the Rhino FAB 600 machining center.  This new automated saw allows for a quicker, more productive, and customizable center for the cutting and fabrication of storefront and curtain wall systems.

April 2014:  Lansing Glass upgraded the Rhino FAB 600 to the Rhino FAB 900.  This upgrade will help increase productivity and provide the ability to further custom our fabrication process.

2016:  With continued growth Lansing Glass hired Michael Feldpausch as an drafting / detailer to create submittal shop drawings.

2016 year end:  As 2016 came to a close President of Lansing Glass Company Keith Doty decide to retire from the glazing business. After a combined 43 years as a glazer and business owner, Keith has decided to pursue a new career of hunting and fishing! Although Keith will be missed around the shop and office, the business that he helped build will continue to prosper as current owners Curt Robb assumes the role of President and Ron VanHorn continues as Vice President.

May of 2017:  Lansing Glass hires Mitchell Udebrock as an assistant project manager. Mitch is a graduate of Everglades University construction management program.

July of 2017:  Current employee Chris Greenfield is named as Vice President and joins current owners Curt Robb & Ron VanHorn.

December of 2017: Lansing Glass upgrades the Rhino FAB 900 to the Rhino FAB 1150.  This upgrade will help increase productivity and provide the ability to further customize our fabrication process with the added function of a down cut miter saw and quicker routing abilities.

We are proud to have grown to be the largest glazing firm in the Lansing Area. Currently Lansing Glass is running between 10-12 rack trucks daily, employs a full time service crew, and full time journeyman glaziers. We look forward to what the future may bring as we head towards 25 years of providing our services to Michigan and locations beyond.
