Our Office On Baker Street
Lansing Glass Company was founded in 1994 by Curt Robb & Keith Doty. With their combined 40 years of glazing experience, the company began expanding in 1996 by hiring Cheri as the Office Manager and Ron as an Estimator and Project Manager.
In 1999, we relocated from Kalamazoo Street to Alpha Access Street. This bigger facility allowed us to complete larger scale projects such as Jackson National Life’s World HQ, the Spartan Stadium Expansion, and the U of M Stadium Expansion “Street Side”.
Continuing to grow as a company in 2008, we hired Bill as an Estimator and Project Manager, along with Chris as a CAD Detailer to develop shop drawings and field survey. This is also when we moved to our now current location on Baker Street.
In 2014, we made a great investment by purchasing the Rhino FAB 600 machine. The new automated saw allowed for a quicker, more productive and customizable center for cutting and fabricating storefront and curtain wall systems.
2016 was a year of change. Keith Doty, President of LGC, retired with 43 year in the glazing industry. He decided to pursue a new career of hunting and fishing! In addition, Michael was hired as a Project Manager and CAD Detailer.
In 2017, Mitchell was hired as a Project Manager.
At the beginning of 2020, Curt Robb, Vice President, retired. Although Curt and Keith will both be missed, the business that they helped build will continue to prosper. In June of 2020, Teanna VanHorn was brought onboard to help with Project Management and CAD Detailing.
We are proud to have grown to be the largest glazing firms in the Lansing Area. Currently, Lansing Glass is running between 10-12 rack truck daily, employs a full-time service crew, and full-time journeyman glaziers. We look forward to what the future may bring as we continue to build relations and exceed our customers expectations.
